Who am I?

It's a fundamental question for all of us to ask, but to answer it we must begin by finding our element.

Who am I?

Part of building an identity is asking “Who am I?” and we often end up answering it with what we do for a living. Although this is important, it's not who we are. It's what we do.

To answer the question of who we are, we have to dig a little deeper into ourselves, and the Five Element Mindset comes in handy here. It gives our mind something to navigate by as we enter the depths of our being.

Which element?

So a better question is, “Which element am I?”

We are all conditioned to the five elements in different ways, and when life challenges us, we respond according to this conditioning.

Earth-people become structured, water-people get emotional, fire-people start thinking, air-people start talking, and space-time-people take action.

Stay true to your element

I, for instance, am the element of space-time.

It means I'm always seeking out a new dimension in my actions. I have to explore and push the boundaries of what I do. It's a fundamental part of my personality, and it's my responsibility to nurture it.

When we sometimes feel on the wrong side of life, it's usually because we are out of our element. We approach life from the wrong angle.

However, if we stay true to it, we know who we are.
